Over 30 years helping dogs and their owners across Dorchester, Blandford Forum and the surrounding villages in Dorset.

Remember that lovely puppy who used to follow you everywhere, hang on your every word and actually come when called?
Where on earth did they go?
These days, just picking up the lead feels like preparing for battle.
The pulling. The zigzagging. The sudden lunges towards every fascinating smell.
Your arms are aching, your shoulders are screaming, and you're beginning to wonder whether you've accidentally entered the World's Strongest Man competition.
And everyone else? Casually strolling along with their perfectly behaved dogs.
Oh, the embarrassment!
Then there's recall.
Standing in a field, calling your dog's name until you're blue in the face, while a furry backside disappears into the distance. Not even a backward glance.
And that sinking feeling when someone else is watching?
They must think I've never trained this dog in my life!
The bouncing. The pestering. The selective deafness.
The dog who could sit, stay and settle beautifully, now looks at you as though you're speaking an entirely different language.
It's frustrating. It's exhausting. And sometimes you could just scream!

Your dog isn’t “bad.” They’re just overwhelmed
and showing it the only way they know how.
Here's the thing.
Your dog hasn't suddenly turned into a complete hooligan just to make your life miserable. They're growing up. Their brain is changing. Their priorities are shifting. And that once-reliable puppy is discovering a whole new world of distractions, temptations and excitement.
Welcome to canine adolescence!
And that's where Rogues comes in. We'll help you understand what's happening, rebuild those all-important skills and find your way through the teenage chaos together.
With patience, understanding, practical training and plenty of Fun | Focus | Play®.
The good news? You don't have to spend the next year hanging on to the lead for dear life, crossing your fingers and hoping your dog eventually grows out of it!
Adolescence may have thrown a spanner in the works, but those lovely skills your puppy learnt haven't necessarily disappeared. They just need a little help surviving in a world that's suddenly become a whole lot more exciting.
That's exactly what Rogues is designed to do.
Over eight weeks, we'll help you understand your teenage dog's changing needs, strengthen the skills you've already taught, and develop new ones to make everyday life together more enjoyable.
Using my Fun | Focus | Play® approach, we'll turn training into games that engage your dog's brain, build confidence and make learning something you both look forward to.
Because those new skills take shape through regular practice, you'll have exercises, guidance, and support to help you put what you've learnt into practice between classes and in everyday life.
A structured course with practical exercises that build on each other.
A maximum of four dogs so there's time for individual guidance.
Reward-based games that make training engaging for teenage dogs.
Online lessons and homework to help you practise at home.
Rogues isn't about drilling your dog through endless obedience exercises.
It's about developing practical skills that help you and your teenage dog navigate everyday life together.
Through fun, reward-based training games, we'll strengthen the foundations you've already built,
and help your dog learn to use those skills when the world gets a little more exciting.
Getting your dog's attention when everything else seems more interesting!
Build stronger check-backs, improve engagement, and help your dog reconnect with you, even when distractions are competing for their attention.
Because walks shouldn't feel like a tug-of-war competition.
Develop better lead-walking skills, learn to keep your dog engaged outdoors, and practise navigating everyday distractions without constantly battling with your dog.
Helping your dog remember that coming back is worth their while!
Strengthen recall through games that make returning to you rewarding, practise calling your dog away from distractions, and develop more reliable recall skills.
Helping your teenage tearaway learn that they don't have to act on every impulse!
Through fun, practical games, we'll help your dog develop the ability to pause, think and make better choices, even when excitement, frustration or temptation makes it difficult.
Because life doesn't always need to happen at 100 miles an hour.
Help your dog learn to settle, manage excitement, develop more appropriate greetings, and discover that sometimes doing very little is a skill worth learning too!
Alongside the practical training, we'll explore what's happening in your dog's developing brain and how routines, rules and boundaries can support their learning, emotional wellbeing and everyday behaviour.
Because understanding why your teenager behaves the way they do is just as important as knowing what to teach them.
You don't have to spend the teenage months wondering whether your dog will ever listen to you again!
With the right understanding, practical training, and a healthy dose of Fun | Focus | Play®, you can start rebuilding those all-important skills and enjoying life with your teenage tearaway.
