Are You Struggling With...

A dog that drags you down the street, making every walk a chore instead of a joy?

That sinking feeling when your recall fails — again — and your dog runs off to chase wildlife or other dogs?

A dog who just won’t focus on you when it really matters?

A companion who can’t settle calmly when you need them to?

If any of that sounds familiar, you’re not alone — and I have the solution.

There is a way through all of this — and my Fun | Focus | Play® method gives you the structure, support, and real-world results that change everything for you and your dog.

Introducing the

Fun | Focus | Play® Membership

Where Fun Unleashes, Bonds Strengthen, and Learning Flourishes!

This isn’t a one-off training class or even a 6 or 8 week course. It’s a 12-month progressive training membership, designed to take your dog from distracted and disorderly to focused, reliable, and calm — no matter where you are or what’s going on around them.

With a structured curriculum that builds skills month by month, we cover everything you need for a well-mannered, happy, and confident dog you can take anywhere.

Train With Me Your Way:

In-Person or Online

The Fun | Focus | Play® Membership is now available in two flexible formats, depending on where you live and how you prefer to train:

In-Person Membership (Dorset Only)

Weekly in-person classes held every Monday morning in Milborne St Andrew.

Perfect for guardians who want weekly hands-on coaching, personalised feedback, and calm, structured small-group classes (max 4 dogs).

Online Membership

(Available UK-Wide + International)

Perfect if you’re outside Dorset or prefer to train flexibly at home

Ideal if you live further away or prefer the flexibility of training from home at your own pace. Includes the full 12-month curriculum, monthly live support calls, and the option to add 1–1 sessions if your dog needs more tailored guidance.

Whichever path you choose, you’ll follow the same progressive Fun | Focus | Play® method — helping you grow your dog’s calmness, focus and connection, week after week.

The Results You’ll See

  • Loose lead walking that makes strolls enjoyable again

  • A recall your dog actually listens to, even around distractions

  • Solid impulse control so they choose you over chasing

  • The ability to settle in cafes, pubs, and at home

  • Focus and attention you can count on, in any environment

  • A deeper bond with your dog built through fun, engaging games

Whether you join in-person or online, you’ll develop these real-life behaviours in simple, progressive steps.

  • Monthly training challenges & Star Pupil of the Month awards. Stay motivated with fun goals and celebrate your dog’s progress.

Membership Class Levels

Your dog’s training journey grows step-by-step with you.

  • Foundation (Available Now)

This is where every dog and guardian begins their Fun | Focus | Play® journey.
We focus on building the essential real-life skills your dog needs: calmness, focus, connection, loose-lead walking, recalls, impulse control, and confidence around everyday distractions.

Your dog will stay at the Foundations level until they’re consistently demonstrating the core skills in new locations and around real-world distractions. Most dogs need time here — and that’s completely normal.

This applies to both in-person and online members.

  • Improvers (Coming Summer 2026)

Once your dog masters the essentials, they’ll be ready to progress to Improvers. This level will introduce greater challenges, distraction-proofing, and more advanced training games — but only when your dog is truly ready.

  • Advanced (Coming 2027)

For dogs who have built exceptional focus, reliability, and teamwork, the Advanced level will bring exciting real-life challenges, precision work, and higher-level training skills.

Progression to higher levels is based on skill, confidence, and readiness — not age or speed.

Each month, we focus on a new theme within the 12-month programme, covering:

  • Loose Lead Walking

  • Recall That Works

  • Impulse Control & Calmness

  • Focus on Handler

  • Distraction Management

  • Off-Lead Control

  • Predation Substitution

  • Distance Control

  • Settling & Relaxation

  • Scent work & Tracking Skills

  • Puzzle Solving & Problem-Solving Skills

  • Training on Location

Where to Start: Finding the Right Path for You and Your Dog

All in-person clients start by completing a Pre-Enrolment Questionnaire.

Online Members bypass this step - they get instant access and begin training immediately.

This helps me understand your dog’s behaviour, experiences, and comfort level around people and other dogs. Based on your answers, you’ll be guided into one of three routes:

Which Path Fits Your Dog Best?

Green Route: Ready to Join

For dogs who are comfortable, confident, and show no red flags.

You’ll be invited to join the Foundation membership directly — no assessment call needed.

This is the fastest, smoothest route for dogs who are already coping well around people and other dogs.

Amber Route: Mini Assessment Call

For dogs with mild issues or where something needs a quick check.

You’ll be invited to book a
30-minute Mini Assessment Call (Zoom or phone).

This gives us time to talk through your dog’s needs and ensure you both start in the right place.

Red Route: Reactive Dog Assessment

For dogs who are nervous, reactive, over-aroused, or struggling around dogs or people.

You’ll be directed to book my
90-minute in-person Reactive Dog Assessment, where we create a tailored plan and prepare your dog for future group classes safely and confidently.

Whichever route your dog falls into, there's a tailored path forward — no judgement, just the right support.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to complete the Pre-Enrolment Questionnaire?

If you’re joining the in-person membership, yes — you’ll need to complete the questionnaire first. It helps me understand your dog’s behaviour, confidence levels, and training history so I can make sure you both start at the right point. If you’re joining the online membership, you don’t need to complete the questionnaire and can get started straight away.

What’s included in the membership?

Whether you join in-person or online, you’ll follow the same progressive 12-month training curriculum. In-person members attend weekly classes in Milborne St Andrew and receive their weekly training lessons inside the Fun | Focus | Play® App. Online members receive weekly step-by-step video lessons in the app, with monthly live support calls and optional 1-to-1 coaching upgrades. Everyone gets access to the community inside the app, seasonal workshops, and quarterly social walks.

How does the membership last?

The membership follows a 12-month structured training programme, with a new topic each month and weekly progression steps. It has been designed to give your dog deep, lasting real-world skills. Although payment is taken monthly, it is still a structured course rather than a casual drop-in class.

Can I cancel the membership?

The Fun | Focus | Play® Foundation Membership is designed as a 12-month progressive training programme, delivered through a simple monthly subscription rather than one upfront payment. Because the curriculum builds month by month, this isn’t a drop-in or pay-as-you-go class.

You can cancel your membership, but I require one month’s notice in writing, and cancellations must be processed by me (members cannot cancel their subscription themselves through the system). No refunds are given for part-used months or missed classes.

Exceptions may be granted in cases of illness or welfare concerns, and I will always do my best to support you and your dog’s wellbeing.

What is the joining fee for?

Yes, there is a one-time £30 joining fee for both in-person and online members. This covers your onboarding, including your 30-minute welcome call, account setup inside the app, adding you to the correct training pathway, insurance, admin work, and reviewing your initial information to ensure a smooth start.

What if my dog is reactive or nervous?

For in-person classes, this is absolutely fine — we just need to make sure your dog starts in the right place. When you complete the Pre-Enrolment Questionnaire, your answers will guide you into either the Amber (Mild Concerns) or Red (Major Concerns) pathway.

Dogs on the Amber pathway will be invited to a 30-minute Mini Assessment Call, where we look at your dog’s confidence, behaviour around dogs and people, and overall readiness for group classes.

Dogs on the Red pathway will begin with a 90-minute Reactive Dog Assessment. This gives us the space to properly understand your dog’s behaviour and triggers. In most cases, dogs on the Red pathway will require a period of one-to-one training first to help them feel safe, supported, and equipped before joining a group environment. Once your dog is ready, they may then be offered a place in the membership, if appropriate.

For the online membership, while this programme is not a dedicated reactive-dog course, many reactive dogs still benefit from the skills taught inside Fun | Focus | Play®. Improving your dog’s focus, responsiveness, and ability to disengage from distractions can make a positive difference when working around triggers. It’s not a replacement for tailored reactivity training, but it can provide valuable foundations for a calmer, more connected partnership.

What day and time are the in-person classes?

In-person Fun | Focus | Play® Foundation classes take place on Monday mornings from 10 am to 11 am in Milborne St Andrew. Class sizes are intentionally small, with a maximum of four dog–handler teams, to make sure everyone gets personal guidance.

What if I don’t live in Dorset?

That’s no problem — the online membership is designed exactly for you. It follows the same training pathway, but with weekly video lessons inside the app, monthly support calls, and an online community. You’re also welcome to travel down for seasonal workshops if you’d like to take part in person.

Do online members get the same training?

Yes. Online members receive the same weekly curriculum, delivered through the Fun | Focus | Play® App. The only difference is that instead of an in-person class each week, you’ll follow the video lessons and get support during the monthly live calls. Optional 1-to-1 support can also be added if you'd like extra guidance.

My dog has already done training elsewhere — can we join?

Yes, as long as your dog is comfortable around other dogs and people. The questionnaire will help us place you correctly so your dog starts at the right level. Some dogs join straight away, while others benefit from a Mini Assessment Call or Reactive Dog Assessment before entering classes.

Can I switch from online to in-person later?

Yes. If you become local or your circumstances change, you can switch to the in-person membership. You’ll just need to complete the questionnaire at that point so we can place you in the right starting point.

What if I miss an in-person class?

If you’re an in-person member and need to miss a week, you can catch up using that week’s lesson inside the app, which walks you through everything step-by-step. Because classes are small and curriculum-based, refunds or partial-month credits aren’t available for missed sessions.

MEET your Trainer

(In-person and Online Members)

Hey, I'm Natasja Lewis!

Fun | Focus | Play® Trainer & Behaviour Coach

For more than 30 years, I’ve helped dog guardians transform distracted, overexcited, worried, or simply misunderstood dogs into confident, focused companions. My training journey began in 1994 with my Sheltie, Dali, whose big emotions taught me more than any textbook ever could — and ignited the passion that’s shaped my entire career.

Since then, I’ve dedicated my life to understanding how dogs learn, think, feel, and communicate. I’ve studied modern training science, behaviour, motivation, arousal, emotion, and relationship-building — and I’ve poured it all into the Fun | Focus | Play® method: a joyful, game-based approach that strengthens connection while teaching real-life skills.

I’m also the author of No Pulling Allowed and Dogz Thinkz Differentz, and I’ve supported thousands of dog-and-human teams through classes, workshops, behaviour work, and online programmes.

My ethos is simple:
Training should be fair, kind, effective — and fun for both ends of the lead.

And I can’t wait to help you and your dog experience what’s possible together.

What are you waiting for?
